Self-Efficacy

This may be due to a lack of small wins or other factors. A low enriched environment or not the top support possible for gaining the skills and succeeding in the classroom and out.

So what you want to do is become area of those areas you feel weak in, especially the details. As an example, you may not like English courses, but what about it do you not like? Is it the writing, the reading, or something else? Isolating the factor(s) is the first step.

Next, seek out the resources available to you at the college. For example, there is often free tutoring in various subjects, you can meet with the teacher’s assistant or the instructor herself. There is also testing to see if you may have a disability and hence providing help to mitigate its affects. For example, you may have extra time on a test.

If you keep track of your progress you’ll come to realize that change is possible and success is within your reach.

Furthermore you’ll want to be sure to check out the resources and activities on Mindsets and The First-Year Performance Attribution.

These will be keys on your ring to open up doors of success.
