"Be who you needed when you were younger." Is an adage that directs Joe's life. He was once a failing high school student, depressed, and unsure about his major and college choice.
Today he uses research and his experiences to help young people navigate college, be healthy, gain a purpose, and discover fulfilling careers.
He does this through presentations & workshops, a screening tool, and a book on college and life success.
Joe's accolades include:
He has attended various higher education institutions, including community colleges; private universities; and philosophy, art, and technology schools. This has provided him with deep insight into the various challenges students face.
Joe's experiences include working as a psychology instructor, researcher, author, tutor, martial arts teacher, and educational coach.
He spends a lot of his time expanding the Student Success Survey (S3) and partnering with organizations and institutions to bring The Good Student's message to their students.
When not working for The Good Student, he is enjoying a cup of green tea, walking his dogs, and making new friends.
